With so many houses on the market, choosing a home can seem overwhelming. But for many buyers, the exact opposite is true. Indeed, when they find the perfect home, they immediately know it’s “the one.” This was the case for the current homeowners of 118 Roads End Lane in Severna Park who were instantly attracted to their home.
“We were fairly new to the area, and we were looking for a home in Severna Park,” says the homeowners. “We had already seen several homes, but none of them really jumped out at us. Then we walked into 118 Roads End Lane and immediately thought, ‘Wow. This is very homey!’ We just had that ‘this is the one’ vibe. The home was in great condition, and we knew that we could add our personal touches and upgrades to make it shine. That’s what we have done, and we love the result.”
The beautiful four-bedroom home features an elegant kitchen with ample cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and a breakfast bar. A relaxing retreat, the spacious family room includes hardwood floors and a barn door, which adds a touch of charm and character. Designed for style and comfort, the living room features hardwood floors and a cozy wood-burning fireplace—offering the ideal setting to relax with family and friends. The home also includes a lower-level recreation room, a deck—perfect for entertaining—and a two-car carport.
“The layout of the home is very functional, and there are many great features,” says the homeowners. “We love the newly renovated family room. It’s a cool space to hang out and casually entertain, furnished with a beach vibe and a barn door. The living room is where we gather with friends the most, though. It’s on the same level as the kitchen and the dining room, and it’s the first area guests enter and the place where we first sensed the home’s warmth when we were house hunting. With the wood-burning fireplace, it’s especially cozy in the winter. And our kids love their play space in the finished basement.”
Indeed, the home truly offers the homeowners the best of both worlds. Not only do they own a home with great features, but they also live in a community they love.
“Round Bay is a wonderful community, and it’s very difficult to get bored living here,” says the homeowners. “We have tennis courts, three boating piers, two swimming beaches, and a community playground. The community also hosts several events throughout the year, such as the Bull and Oyster Roast, an end of summer carnival, and holiday parties.
“Our favorite amenity is the beach. We spend a lot of time at Main Beach or West End Beach where we gather with friends for a barbecue or take our kids kayaking. Since moving here, we’ve established a new tradition of hosting our D.C. friends for an annual crab feast and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets at Main Beach.”
In addition, the homeowners enjoy easy access to great restaurants and the B&A Trail, and they are only
10-15 minutes from downtown Annapolis. They also appreciate how close they are to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. and can easily take day trips to either city.
The homeowners are selling their home because they are moving closer to family. But they would definitely recommend the home to any buyer.
“We’ve put a lot of love into our home, and it’s been really good to us in return,” says the homeowners. “We hope the new owners enjoy it—as well as the community—as much as we have.”
