There are so many reasons why prospective homeowners fall in love with a particular home and ultimately decide to buy it. Although their individual preferences may vary, most buyers have the same expectations. So when the current homeowners of 116 Maryland Avenue in Pasadena found a home with great value in a highly coveted location, they knew that it was perfect for them.
“It was a single-family home for the price of a townhome,” says the homeowners. “It had a large yard that offered privacy and was located in a water-privileged community close to Dobbins Island.”
The beautiful home features an open, spacious main level adorned with gleaming hardwood floors. The stylish living room offers an ideal setting to relax with family and friends and flows seamlessly into the elegant kitchen—the perfect layout for entertaining. The cozy, light-filled breakfast and dining area with ample windows, which offer serene views of the community, is absolutely charming. And the master bedroom features access to the delightful sunroom with an impressive wall of windows overlooking the lovely yard. The property also includes a welcoming rear patio.
“This is an awesome home,” says the homeowners. “We love the new windows that we had installed. They are easy to use and to clean, and we like to keep them open in the spring and fall. We host an oyster roast every year with about 100 of our family members and friends. Parking has never been an issue, and we have so much space in the yard to set up different food stations, as well as a moon bounce for the kids.”
In addition to owning a home with beautiful features, the homeowners also love the community of Boulevard Park and the amenities it offers.
“We love the boat ramp,” says the homeowners. “We purchased a boat four years ago and have used it extensively during the summer and even into the fall. The boat ramp is easy to launch from, and there is ample parking. It’s also nice to walk in the neighborhood, and the community offers fun activities and events. Our home’s location is great. We’re close to everything. Within five miles, there are four grocery stores, dry cleaners, and restaurants (fast food and sit-down dining). Plus, we can’t say enough about the schools. They are amazing.”
The homeowners are selling their home because they are moving closer to family, but they would definitely recommend it to any buyer. The living spaces are versatile and can serve a variety of uses to fit any lifestyle.
“It is a great home with four nice-sized bedrooms, two full baths, and a great yard,” says the homeowners. “We owned the house for five years before having our children, and we used the current playroom as a man cave, and the nursery was the perfect home office.”
